On Thursday 4 September 2025 at 09:30–11:00 (UTC/GMT +3) I will participate with the communication and presentation of the paper Cognitive Warfare and Information Control in the Geopolitics of Europe’s Energy Transition (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.17018416) in the Hybrid International Workshop ‘Europe and the Global Energy Transition: From Geopolitics to Geoeconomics?’, to be held at Yaşar University in İzmir, Turkey, led by the YUSRT03 Yaşar University Scientific Research Team, in collaboration with the European Research Council (ERC) Starting Grant Green Industrial Policy in the Age of Rare Metals (GRIP-ARM) under Grant No, 950056, and the EUforCliC Jean Monnet Module Project.
The online session will be moderated by Dr. Defne Günay, with Prof. Rainer Quitzow as discussant, and will host the following presentations:
- Mihai Varga (with Aron Buzogány): Run on Resources: State Developmental Agency and Transnational Mega-Projects following the Russo-Ukrainian War in the Black Sea Area.
- Dr. Yingfeng Ji (with Jewellord Nem Singh): Resource securitization and strategic assets acquisition: Diversification in China’s overseas mineral investments.
