I am pleased to announce that, effective October 27, 2025, I have accepted two new international roles in the field of media and communication studies. These appointments represent a prestigious recognition of my ongoing research efforts in media, communication, and digital sociology.
1. Member of the Scientific Council of Media i Społeczeństwo
I have been appointed a member of the Scientific Council of the open-access academic journal Media i Społeczeństwo (Media and Society). Published by the University of Bielsko-Biala in Poland, the journal is identified by the following codes: ISSN: 2083-5701; E-ISSN: 2545-2568. This role will allow me to contribute to the journal’s scientific direction, supporting the dissemination of high-quality research in the dynamic field of media studies.
2. Member of the Scientific Council of the “(Re)definitions of Language and Communication” International Conference
Concurrently, I have joined the Scientific Council of the 16th edition of the international conference “(Re)definitions of language and communication in the world of media”. The event is scheduled for November 28, 2025, at the University of Bielsko-Biala and is organised by the Faculty of Transportation and Management, Department of Economic and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Polish Studies, and the Foreign Language Centre of the University of Bielsko-Biala; Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Sociology and Military History, Polish Naval Academy of the Heroes of Westerplatte. The conference is co-organised by the Faculty of Humanities, Institute of Media, Journalism and Social Communication, Jan Kochanowski University of Kielce; the Faculty of Journalism, Department of Theory and Practice of Journalism, Ivan Franko National University of Lviv; the Institute of Humanities and Social Science, Department of Sociology and Social Work, Lviv Polytechnic National University; the Faculty of Sociology, Department of Sociology, Karazin Kharkiv National University.
This appointment is a great honour and provides me with a valuable opportunity to collaborate with distinguished colleagues to shape the scientific debate on a highly relevant topic: the evolution of language and communication in the contemporary media ecosystem.
